I used the Kitchen Aid mixer to whip up some meringue, and well my meringue wasn’t all I thought it would be. Now don’t get me wrong, it was delicious, but I’m saddened at how flat it turned out.

I laugh out loud at this post. I can’t believe I am stressing over a botched pie… in less than a month I will be head over heals in accounting homework. I will be lucky to even find time to make a lemon meringue pie! I am so silly!

Have I mentioned I love lemon meringue pie! Probably my most favourite pie in the whole-wide-world. Well that and key-lime and coconut pie.

Since we are on the topic of food:

So Not Looking for a Protein Power Bar
While I was out grocery shopping today I picked up a new nutritional bar to try. Over the last few months (instead of snacking on junk food like chips and chocolate), I’ve been trying to eat nutritional bars. So far, I’ve tried the Cliff and Luna bar. And to be honest I liked the Luna bar better than the Cliff. I found the Cliff bar to be to “protein-ish”. Well you probably have tried a power bar before right? Well I really don’t find those yummy at all, so after purchasing and trying 3 kinds of the Cliff bar and finding that they taste close to a power bar, I turned to the Luna bar. Now this bar was better. It still tastes like a power bar, but surprisingly the brownie one actually tastes like a brownie! So far, my favourite of this bar is the brownie one. The nut and chocolate one isn’t bad either.

Ok so back to my original reason for the last paragraph. I picked up some Larabar’s today. I read the ingredients and this time the list was rather quite short. Like I’m talking 3 to 4 ingredients short. The other two bars I mentioned had a long paragraph of ingredients. The Larabar’s contain ingredients such as nuts, dates, and fruits. I read on a website last month that this bar got rated high as a good nutritional bar… as in, it tastes good. So I will do an update after I have tried a few.
